A Valentines Celebration

Friday, February 11, 2011

Well it has been a really long time since I have updated this blog. However, I plan on updated it more frequently this year. For starters, Ava turned two last month. As usual, she woke up sick on her birthday and continued to stay sick for a couple of weeks battling one virus after another. We all got a couple of rounds of various stomach flus, Influenza B, and some horrible respiratory infection. I am happy to say that we are all better this week and moving on with life. We are all growing a little claustrophobic in the house due to the weather and illnesses. So to update everyone Jim is working as an adjuster for Farm Bureau and Nationwide, traveling all over the south! He is loving his new job and learning lots everyday. I am of course still working the night shift at Vanderbilt but loving my time with Ava all week long. Ava is now a real talking, laughing, running little girl full of personality and ENERGY! Over the past couple of weeks she has learned to identify her ABC's and even sing the alphabet song! She is obsessed with a movie called Aristocats and Oliver and Company ( a personal favorite of mine!) Her favorite toys are her little babies in her dollhouse. She loves playing mommy and putting all the babies to sleep. On a final note, I just love this story about her. This is how you know you are raising a real girl. The other day in the car Ava was crying. She finally stopped looked up to my mom and I and said " I sowwy guys, I otay". I then said, "that's okay Ava but what was wrong?" Her response.... "Who Knows!" If that's not a real women for you I don't know what is! Her are a couple of recent pictures of her. They did not turn out great b/c little did we know she had the flu the day we took these. Enjoy!

Update...... April 10, 2010

It has been a while since I have posted any pictures of Ava on the website so I thought I should give a couple of updated pics! Ava is doing wonderful. She is a total GIRL! She loves purses, wearing beads and pretending to put on blush with my old blush brush. She is still a dancer but looks a little bit more like Elaine from Seinfeld these days (for those of you familiar with those dance moves)! LOL. She is jabbering away and loves using my cell phone to make phone calls and if you call I will probably have to put you on speaker to allow her some time to speak with you. Jim started a new job in February with Titan Exteriors. He will be soon opening up an extension of the company called Integra which will specialize in restoration. He is loving the job but stays on "the go" all the time. I am still working on the weekends at Vanderbilt. That about wraps up what is new around here.
