Christmas 2009

Ava had an amazing Christmas this year. Not only was it her first Christmas but one that was filled with family and excitement. This Christmas Ava got to spend time with all of her family. She started Christmas this year by celebrating with the Frawleys on Christmas Eve. She got to see her buddy Annadele and had a front row seat to a Christmas concert filled with Papa's banjo and a collection of bells! On Christmas morning she got to open up gifts with my Mom and Dad. She recieved many gifts but her favorite was a barking dog that walks. She pets him every morning and gives him a big kiss on the nose. Next we were off to spend time with the Shaws. Ava is in love with her funny uncles Josh and Johnathon. She enjoyed having them crawl around behind her for the majority of the time! Thanks guys for keeping her busy. She got to spend time with her Grandmother Jeannie and her Great Grandmother Helen. She reached her arms out wide and got to spend a little lap time with her. Then she got to open her gifts from the Hankster.... We would like to thank Hank for keeping up with all the "it" toys of the season. Her Grandfather stood in line to get Ava a ZhuZhu. Who knew it was this years tickle me Elmo? He also got Ava a loud popping walker that we will leave for her time over at Jeannies! Your welcome Jeannie.. Haha. Ava then set off for Kentucky the next day to spend a little time with the Burroughs. I had to work but from what I hear from my Mom and Dad she loved everyone! She is rapidly approaching her 1 year mark. Time has really gone by in the blink of an eye. I feel like I wake up everyday and love her more and more. She is the best Christmas gift I could ever ask for. Hopefully, everyone has had a wonderful Christmas and We would like to wish everyone a Happy Holidays. Thanks to everyone for making Ava's first year and Christmas a wonderful one!

Ava's 9 month pictures

Ava Mckenzie Shaw 9 1/2 months.......

Ava went in for her 9 month checkup today. Wow, I can't believe how time has gone by in a blink of the eye! Miss Ava weighs 18 lbs and 14 oz which is now the 44th percentile of weight and 29 inches long which is the 90th percentile of length for her age group. She is now nodding her head yes and no to everything, laughing the entire time. She is also still perfecting her wave for "bye bye". She can do it but aims at herself! haha. She can stand unsupported and crawls 100 miles/ hr. She can climb anything and has no fear. She laughs all the time and has really developed quite the little personality over the last couple of weeks. I will continue to post some new pictures of her as I have them. Can't believe the next milestone will be ..... 1 year!!!! Love you all and please stay in touch.
